The red and green status indicators of the Goldshell LT5 miner can indicate the abnormal status of the miner
Red Light | Green Light | Status |
Flash Slow | Lights off | Network abnormal |
Flash quickly | Lights off | Fan speed is abnormal |
Always on | Lights off | Miner temperature is too high |
Always on | Flash quickly | Some hash boards failed to start |
Lights off | Always on | The miner is idle |
Lights off | Flash quickly | Normal working condition |
Flash quickly | Flash quickly | User-enabled lighting effect |
When the miner software detects an abnormal state, the miner’ dashboard and indicator will indicate the current abnormal status at the same time.
3.2 Malfunction Solutions
3.2.1 Power Supply
Situation:
- The fan does not spin and the network port light does not come on when the miner is powered on.
Solutions:
- Verify that the power cord is plugged tightly and that the power connector is not loose or falling off.
- The power supply needs to be replaced if the fan doesn’t rotate.
- Verify the power supply’s output range of 11 to 13 volts using a multimeter.
3.2.2 Network
Situation:
- The new miner cannot obtain an IP address
Solutions:
- Verify the Ethernet status light is on and that the Ethernet port is connected.
- Check to see if the PC’s IP address and the miner’s IP address are on the same network.
- Ensure that the DHCP setting for the miner network is enabled. To return to the factory settings if you do not confirm, press and hold the “Reset” button for 7 seconds.
3.2.3 Fan
Situation:
- Once powered on, the fan does not spin.
- Dashboard shows “Oops! Fan cannot start normally, make sure miner is fully constructed and connected to a router”
Solutions:
- Make sure that the fan cable is inserted firmly.
- To determine whether the issue is with the fan or the hash board, turn the fan interface crosswise.
3.2.4 High Temperature Protection
Situation:
- The miner is closed due to trigger high temperature protection
Solutions:
- If the temperature is too high, check it out. (above 35℃)
- Check to see if the fans’ air inlet and outlet are blocked (for instance, if they are facing the wall and have too many obstructions like dust and catkins).
- After the high temperature protection, restart the miner for at least 10 minutes, and check to see if the temperature remains stable.
3.2.5 Low Hashrate
Situation 1
- The dashboard shows “Fail to startup”, the hashrate is 0.
Solutions:
- Attempt to restore the miner by restarting it.
- To resolve the power supply issue, swap out the hash board’s power cord.
- To get rid of cable issues, cross-exchange data cables with regular hash boards.
Situation 2
- Although the pool hashrate is low, the local average hashrate is typical.
Solutions:
- See if the network has a high latency.
- In place of the pool comparison test, some pools can currently not adjust to the right difficulty, resulting in low hashrate.
*Please pay attention to the precautions, otherwise your warranty may be affected.
